I have undergraduate degrees in philosophy and journalism, but I turned down a newspaper career and decided instead to get an honest job and become a lawyer. I have been in private practice for 30 years, through God's good providence. I am a member of the Apostoli Viae community, a Carmelite association of clergy and laypeople. In May 2024, I will complete the Masters Certificate program in spiritual theology at the Avila Institute.

I am married with three adult children, and I live in Ventura, CA.
